What does Paidea (Py-deh-ah) mean?

A Greek word used in ancient times to refer to the discipline, training and education of children. In a Christian context, it essentially refers to the pursuit of excellence in all aspects of a child's life: discipline, character, values, academic knowledge.

Paideia was created by a military family with a heart to bring Connecticut families together, building friendships while raising our children in the ways of the Lord. Paideia is a co-op and support group. We serve Christian home school families in the South Eastern region of Connecticut. Our meeting place is in Uncasville, CT.

Paideia is led and ran by homeschool moms. We strive to provide our homeschool families with opportunities to learn and play together. We believe we are all working towards the same goal to raise our children in the ways of the Lord.  We offer weekly academic lessons, mom's night out, dad's outings, monthly field trips and family dinner fellowships.

Deuteronomy 6: 6-7

These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you.
